Civic patronage of the orchestra

The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Sunderland, Councillor Alan Emerson

has become Honorary Patron of the Sunderland Symphony Orchestra

for the duration of his year of office.

The Mayor’s Office has agreed that Civic Patronage can be ongoing,

subject to the personal approval of each succeeding Mayor.

Closure of West Park Church

The Northern Synod Trust has accepted an offer to purchase the building, from a development company, subject to contract, but has allowed our continued use of the premises in the meantime, for which we are most grateful.

Following our recent appeal, a number of donations have been received,

including a regular monthly standing order from a friend, and one of £100.00.

A previous member of the orchestra continues to support us

with a regular membership fee.

Many thanks to the donors.
